Philosophy-meets-dance-theatre, in Polish — that could sum up Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre's latest offering, but it goes much further than that, fortunately. Factor T. is a theatrical interpretation of Polish experimental filmmaker, novelist, philosopher, and poet Stefan Themerson's theory that identifies the conflict between an individual's need to satisfy specific urges and an aversion to the actions that such satisfaction would require. The Poland-based company combines dance, pantomime, and theatre to create a highly physical version of Themerson's theory that centers on the performer and his or her indispensable ego.
