Brooklyn's revolutionary sons head home for a gig at Southpaw tonight. Outernational are known as a vociferous political-protest band, but the outfit's members are also seasoned musicians with wide-ranging talents (just ask Tom Morello, who produced tracks for the group's debut album), who know how to put on an excellent show. So get ready for a smattering of leftist propaganda accompanied by tabla drumming, lyrics en español, reggae and hip-hop beats, and some good old-fashioned punk antics.
