It seems like Swedish chanteuse Theresa Andersson's new disc, Hummingbird, Go!, is inspired by every type of sound there is. The New Orleans-based prodigy holed up in her house to record the disc, a 12-track record produced by Tobias Fröberg and mixed by Linus Larsson (of Peter, Björn & John fame). Listen carefully and you'll hear water-filled soda bottles and locusts buzzing in the breeze. The result is an innovative take on '60s pop: part Supremes, part psychedelia. "Birds Fly Away" is a perfect example of Andersson's melting-pot approach — it sounds like Motown cooked up in the kitchen of the Swedish Chef.
