DC trio Jukebox the Ghost draw ready comparisons to Ben Folds Five (mostly because of pianist/lead singer's Ben Thornewill's classical training), with jubilant sing-alongs ("Hold It In," "Good Day") as well as indie jams with borderline operatics. Their debut album, Let Live and Let Ghosts, may have some uneven moments, but trust us: all is forgiven once you catch their infinitely awesome live show. Meanwhile, toeing the line between Pedro the Lion's more upbeat emoting and Jens Lekman's ukulele-soaked rambles, ARMS (known about town as Harlem Shakes' guitarist) drips his songs with a devious sense of indie-minded character exploration.
