Drom says…

Raised in South "suicide" Queens, Pharoahe Monch could have easily become a well-to-do drug dealer or a gully rapper riddled with bullet holes. Instead, he took the road less traveled, spitting hyper-intelligent and globally conscious rhymes, employing a live band for his performances, and releasing only two albums in nearly a decade. Monch commands his audience with an intensity reminiscent of Tupac, but don't get nostalgic — tonight's show will be a new-school affair, also featuring the hip-hop talents of young MC-on-the-grind Kid Cudi and soul-slinging Brooklynite Anu Sun.
