Stephin Merritt, the man who brought us the Future Bible Heroes, the 6ths, and the Gothic Archies, returns to NYC — OK, Jersey. But that's close enough for us! —with his (by far) most successful and prolific project, the Magnetic Fields. The melancholy baritone singer/songwriter has brought in some of his past collaborators for a night at Jersey City's Landmark theater. Merritt's past live shows have been legendary (performing all of 69 Love Songs in back-to-back shows, for example), so we have no idea what to expect tonight. But we're pretty stoked.
