Back when sounds took a while to migrate across the Atlantic, Britain's Greg Wilson was an avid supporter of early NYC electro-funk. It's fitting that he returns to the city for an installment of Prime Time — one of the most thoughtfully curated dance nights of the moment. He has recently spent time remixing tracks from DFA and Rong, with the cuts benefiting from his finely honed edit style. Wilson's last stateside visit saw him navigate a clever cross section of dance music's storied history: a smattering of fresh tweaks here; vintage house, electro, and pop there. Tonight's set promises the same dexterity.
