Although Gui Boratto has been releasing singles on Kompakt, Plastic City, and Audiomatique since 2005, it wasn't until the success of last year's "Beautiful Life" — a nearly perfect tune melding a bubblegum hook sung by his wife with shimmering synths and streamlined production — that he began to gain recognition. The track won fans across all spectrums, and Boratto has since been out to prove that there's more in him than just one excellent track. With a new album in the works, tonight's show at Cielo is the perfect opportunity for him to show the city his range.
