Following in the synesthetic footsteps of artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Olafur Eliasson, electronic musician and audio artist Stephen Vitiello transforms Project into a surreal and slow-shifting world of fog-shrouded lights, primary colors, and synthesized sounds. For his fourth solo exhibition, the multimedia guru creates blue, red, green, and yellow environments with corresponding soundtracks — thunder for red, Amazonian birds and insects for blue — each of which melts into the next in the course of a single space. The hazy transitions offer beautiful and chaotic perspectives, kind of like experiencing New York through a pair of rose-colored glasses, or just after a couple glasses of rosé.
