Music: Rock/Pop The Wedding Present w/ Tulsa

David Gedge formed the Wedding Present in 1985 after his former band fell apart. (In an act of delicious scandal, his drummer left him for his guitarist.) The iconic British rock band would become adored by John Peel and build a cult following for its jangly, insistent guitars and Gedge's intimate tales of love and heartache. Over a decade later, Gedge started Cinerama with longtime girlfriend Sally Murrell, only to have the band collapse upon their breakup. Continuing to record without her, Gedge rechristened the band the Wedding Present, making it the second time an amazing act has risen from the ashes of Gedge's love life.
