If you're lucky enough to score a coveted ticket to Black Watch's limited run, you're in for one helluva show. Based on the true stories of Scottish soldiers in Iraq, the production uses an all-male cast to put forth nearly two hours of eerie theatrical magic. Presented by the National Theatre of Scotland, Black Watch is entertaining, but it's also spare and devastating — as it needs to be — to help us better understand the repercussions of war. Now why don't we have a national theatre trying to do that?
