Banksy: The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill

Banksy, the art world's man of mystery (and controversy), continues to play the role of provocateur at The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill. Cages full of animatronic monkeys watching nature videos, bunnies applying makeup at vanities, and chicken nuggets sipping from a sauce dish fill the shelves of what could easily pass for your local kibble supplier. After much debate over his use of an elephant in a 2006 LA show, Banksy recently opined on the treatment of animals in our consumer-friendly society — perhaps shedding some light on his near-trademark (and now billboard-sized) rats.

Note: Never mind the hours, most of the exhibit is visible from the street.
