Wild Style 25th-Anniversary Party feat. Spank Rock and Grandmaster Caz

Hip-hop went to the movies big-time in 1983 with Charlie Ahearn's cinematic ode to Bronx culture, rapping, and writing, Wild Style. Film Forum is screening the film this week in honor of its 25th anniversary, but the real celebration is going down tonight at Danbro Studios, where Ahearn has put together an impressive lineup of hip-hop's founding fathers and modern-day torch bearers. Many of Wild Style's stars, including Grandmaster Caz of the Cold Crush Brothers, Busy Bee, and Double Trouble step up to the mic alongside the ever-dirty Spank Rock.

Danbro Studios is the perfect place for this party to happen - it's a throwback to when New York was actually fun. Can't wait for tonight...

Bruce Willis is the fifth element of hip hop, of course. Did Spank Rock pull a no show for this party?
