Before Aerosmith made rap safe for middle America, Wild Style brought hip-hop culture out of the Bronx and into movie theaters from Kalamazoo to Albuquerque.  Even if the movie's plot is barely there, the emphasis on music, graffiti art, and breakdancing means that, 25 years later, Wild Style is still revered as an indispensable document of early 80's New York hip-hop culture. Graffiti legends Lee Quiñones and Lady Pink star beside Grand Master Flash, the Cold Crush Brothers, the Rock Steady Crew, and a who's-who of old-schoolers. Stick around after the Friday and Saturday shows to reminisce about the good-old days with director Charlie Ahearn and members of the cast.
