Chicago's Curtis Alan Jones, aka Green Velvet, hits Sullivan Room for a night full of jacking, electric house. Since his work under the pseudonym Cajmere in Chicago's early-'90s house scene, Jones has crafted self-described "folk music for the rave scene," focusing on the funkier, more fun-loving aspects of the sound with tracks like "Percolator," "Answering Machine," and "Shake and Pop" on Music Man and his own labels, Cajual and Relief. His energetic sets combine an abundant sense of humor with plenty of classic soul and throbbing beats. Basic NYC residents Sleepy & Boo get things started.
