In anticipation of the opening of the High Line this December (hooray! finally!), this year's New Yorker-sponsored Passport to the Arts benefits Friends of the High Line, the nonprofit tasked with preserving and retrofitting the former elevated train tracks over on the west side. Pick up your map at Passport Headquarters and proceed on a self-guided tour of 28 Chelsea galleries. Following your afternoon of artistic indulgence, there's a cocktail reception and silent auction, where you can mingle with artists, gallerists, and fellow art enthusiasts. Great art and a good cause? Sounds like a perfect Saturday to us.
