Block parties are a classic Brooklyn fixture, but the Ad Hoc gallery puts a special twist on it: this one is dedicated to lino and wood-cut block prints. Some of the streets' most prevalent images make their way indoors for a proper introduction. Expect Swoon's intricate patterns and dreamy characters, Gaia's earthy roots and woodland creatures, and a bit of ElbowToe's much blogged-about everyman series. Judith Supine's Technicolored mavens, and Imminent Disaster's victorian salon and police-action inspirations hang along side David Ellis' block letters and soft breeze visions. Not your ordinary block party, so no fried dough, just great art.
