The guy who basically wrote the minimal playbook way back in '94 with his seminal record Minimal Nation returns to NYC for a three-hour set of decks 'n effects on Love's monstrous sound system. Alongside Jeff Mills and Mike Banks, Robert Hood founded Detroit's Underground Resistance and has remained vital within the techno scene since, as his mix for the Fabric's excellent series showcased earlier this year. Working with a limited palette of tight kicks, crisp hi-hats, and throttling bass lines, Hood weaves repeating synth lines and metallic chords together, yet somehow manages to coax a human element out of his Motor City machine music.
