After topping plenty of lists across the pond (including the NME Awards and "Cool List") and wowing a few crowds at last year's SXSW, the London-based Foals are back stateside. The youthful, self-proclaimed "snotty art-school dropouts" create a riotous hybrid of math rock and dance punk; think Battles, but with a chorus. A debut album — recorded and produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek in Brooklyn last summer — is due for release in another month. Now's your chance to catch them before they go all Vampire Weekend on your ass.
