Temporary Distortion's Welcome to Nowhere (bullet hole road) finds a suitable home at the claustrophobic space within P.S. 122. The nightmarish tale of a man's murderous cross-country trip unfolds on a constantly shifting multimedia set, in which cinematic and semiotic elements mingle and further complicate the proceedings. Images pertaining to Welcome to Nowhere's central theme (the difficulties of grappling with inner demons) project onto the audience via a mirror at the back of the stage, providing a strange cause for (ahem) reflection.
