More Flavor: Spectacle Alt.Oscar Party

Prepare your acceptance speech and alert your stylists: the Burning Man vets and fancy-dress enthusiasts of the Kostume Kult herald the 11th-hour return of the Academy Awards with their third-annual Alt.Oscars party. Attendees are encouraged to dress as a movie star or Hollywood icon (past, present, or, um, imagined). Even if you're not actually A-list, you can revel in the contained zaniness, including red-carpet interviews, the presentation of the group's own Alty Awards, and an after-Oscars dance party. Needless to say, the actual televised program isn't the main event, but it will be shown on several screens.
