Blurring the lines between dance and installation art, Yanira Castro + Company's new Center of Sleep is an immersive multimedia experience. Exploring the extreme shifts in behavior and consciousness that occur while sleeping, the piece features two male and two female dancers, original music and live sound design, and lighting and installation created by award-winning artist Roderick Murray. Known for pushing the boundaries of modern dance and creating detailed sensory environments, Castro leads her audience on an enigmatic adventure into the nocturnal subconscious.
