Mixing electronic grooves and hip-hop beats with elements of Eastern European and Gypsy music, Balkan Beat Box deliver a fresh take on traditional tunes. The Brooklyn-based duo is inspired by their roots — both founding members Ori Kaplan and Tamir Muskat were born and raised in Israel — and ethnic music from around the globe. Balkan Beat Box originally formed as a "natural reaction of musicians who wanted to erase political borders," but their reputation has been built upon exuberant, circus-like performances.
