Music: Rock/Pop Escort w/ T.H. White, DJ Ayres, and Kool Kear

Considering Escort's dozen-plus band members, it makes sense that they'd be happy (relieved, even) to avoid their exorbitant travel costs and play a hometown show in Brooklyn. The disco orchestra plays fresh, Donna Summer-esque dance yarns with hyperactive precision — last year's 12-inch hit "All Through the Night" is a neck-snapping, highly suggestive anthem. (Check the Muppets music video.) Although Escort promise an album soon and a tour eventually, they're satisfied to head up Brooklyn's modern disco movement for the time being. A ton of talent rounds out the night, including downtempo electroid T.H White and mix-masters DJ Ayres and Kool Kear.
