Music Keren Ann w/ Dean & Britta

The sultry sounds of chanteuse Keren Ann evoke a Mazzy Star-like vision of a weary world. The French singer/songwriter's self-titled fifth album follows her internationally lauded last effort, Nolita, with indie folk and country jazz that are a testament to a life lived in transit. She hits Yoshi's tonight alongside husband-and-wife singer/songwriter team Dean & Britta. The duo's delicate, soothing brand of indie pop mixes the deft lyricism of the pair's previous project, the beloved Luna, with whisper-soft harmonies and gently rolling acoustic-guitar lines. The bands also hit the Bowery Ballroom on Sat Mar 1 (9pm).
