Fast-paced and exuberantly profane, The Play About the Naked Guy skewers Off-Broadway's longstanding "art vs commerce" debate. Christopher Borg's Eddie saves the Integrity Players theatre company from certain annihilation (before Eddie, they produced only morality plays from the 1700s). Swooping in with his mincing cronies, he launches a fabulous production of The Passion, in which Mary speaks in Madonna lyrics and the big number is "Jesus Christ... He's Hot!" The cast chews the scenery with relish, from the acerbic benefactress, to the Integrity Players' ridiculously earnest leader, to Borg's gay impresario of smutty downtown shows.
