Music: Rock/Pop Black Lips w/ Quintron & Miss Pussycat

The Black Lips' live shows are infamous for homoerotic antics, expelled bodily fluids, and shenanigans involving flammable materials. The Atlanta garage-punk foursome's music, on the other hand, has made its members into critics' darlings, with rave reviews for last year's album Good Bad Not Evil and kudos from the New York Times for a marathon run of SXSW '07 gigs. Despite their tendency to devolve into Jackass-esque antics, though, the Black Lips also know how to write smart, catchy songs. Case in point: "O Katrina!," addresses the titular hurricane in the language of a wounded lover.
