There are few things better than listening to Leonard Cohen's melancholy tunes — few things, that is, except listening to 30 well-dressed men singing a cappella renditions of Leonard Cohen's melancholy tunes. The Conspiracy of Beards, whose strange name remains a mystery, do just that, uplifting even the most ironically detached audiences in the process. The group's YouTube videos are entertaining, but they don't quite capture the sheer rhapsody of a choir of drunks with their arms around each other belting out "Bird on a Wire" in perfect harmony while spilling martinis on their dress shoes.
