Combining bright bits of lo-fi electro, pouty girl-pop, and dance music, the Ting Tings fit snugly into our post-Justice popocalypse. The Mancs already have NME's panties in bunches, and with a US tour underway, it's really only a matter of time before you hear their "That's Not My Name" in an iPod commercial. The group's sound itself is spare (Jules on drums, Katie sings and strums), but their Tony Basil chants are impossibly catchy, making Ting Tings tunes irresistible to DJs and remixers alike. Check Calvin Harris' remix of "Great DJ" — a video that's practically an iPod ad already, come to think of it.
