Tuesdays–Saturdays (10am–6pm)
In Peter Coffin's latest solo show, 30 video screens play archival footage of frolicking animals, while a motorized, roller coaster-like contraption pulls balloons through the gallery. Outside, a sound installation translates keyboard strokes into musical notes, in a happy confusion of the mundane and fantastical. Inspired by New Age spiritualism and pseudo-science, Coffin urges the viewer to reconsider the familiar and celebrate the unexplainable. In You Are Me, he continues to propose the alternate realms of perception he has explored since his first solo show, which featured a greenhouse built to facilitate communication between humans and plants.
