Note: Performances begin every half hour, from 7-9:30pm.
Upon arriving at Café Pick Me Up, you're handed a coffee, a prop to wear, and a piece of paper outlining your character in Street Limbo Blues, an edgy, one-on-one audience-participation piece about the effects of drug abuse in the community. As the story unfolds, you and your performing partner prowl the streets and bars around Tompkins Square Park looking for drugs and interacting with other participants and actors. It's an unsettling theatrical experience that drops audience members uncomfortably into an addict's lifestyle.
