Art Big Kids Little Kids

There have been a lot of cheap shots volleyed between the youths of New York and Philadelphia. But regardless of who's a suburb of whom, consider Big Kids Little Kids a happy display of reconciliation. Before continuing on to Los Angeles, Houston, and Raleigh, the exhibition brings a few works by Philly-affiliated (a-Philly-ated?) artists to Brooklyn, loosely dubbed the Optimists and organized with the help of SPACE1026's John Freeborn. On the whole, these guys are design savvy, more concerned with quips than heavy concepts. Two familiar names from outside the City of Brotherly Love are also exhibited — Shepard Fairey and Barry McGee — who set the boundaries for the group as a whole.
