Besides being ace producers (SMD's James Ford helmed releases for Klaxons and Arctic Monkeys) and remixers, the boys have spent the last few years becoming a better pop band than most — last year's debut album, Attack Decay Sustain Release, effortlessly fused the acidic booty spank of their dance-floor singles with some genuinely melodic songwriting.
