Tempering a synth-laden swagger with heavy beats and thrashing guitar, the DeathSet's electro-ditties are as anthemic as they are aggressive. Emerging from the same scene as dance anarchist Dan Deacon (who remixed a tune at the end of the band's last EP), the 'Set join acts like No Age and Times New Viking in the marriage of lo-fi aesthetics and new-school gutter punk. The difference? The tunes in the DeathSet's repertoire hold up just as well at a party as they do in the pit.
