Performing Arts: Theatre Another Vermeer

In historical drama Another Vermeer, notorious art forger Han van Meegeren sells his own painting — claiming it a crecently discovered Johannes Vermeer — to Nazi leader Hermann Goering during World War II, and is subsequently put on trial for high treason. In a strange twist, he then must evade the gallows by painting yet another fake. But is his Vermeer any less a masterpiece for being a Meegeren? Pitch-perfect acting augments sharp wit and eloquent debates of authenticity, criticism, politics, and artistic genius, leaving one chuckling but struck to the core, ruminating on the nature of creativity.
