More Flavor Earth Hour

WWF (the one with pandas, not wrestlers) takes Earth Hour global this year with the help of more than 20 partnering cities and thousands of participants, who pledge their support by simultaneously shutting off their lights for one hour. Started last year in Sydney, the event found both a grassroots and corporate following, with well over 10,000 businesses signing on. Last year, Earth Hour lowered emissions by 10.2%, more than twice WWF's expectations. Check the website for local turn-off times — all you have to do is flick a switch to get involved.
