Tonight, Todd P's new Bushwick venue, the Market Hotel, hosts a much-belated SXSW afterparty. Puppet-loving prankster duo Japanther headline with their high-energy scuzz-pop anthems, while fellow post-punk Brooklynites Pterodactyl perform grungy, math-y string-shredders. Out-of-towners (by way of Seattle) the Pharmacy fill out the bill with a set of catchy, harmonized psych-rock, marked by an overcast edge that could only come from the Pacific Northwest.
