More Flavor: Discussion Shaping Sound: Architects, Composers, and Concert Halls

Shaping Sound takes an integrated look at concert halls: their cultural significance, their innovative architects, and the composers who thrive within them. The multi-part series includes lectures and performances from some of the field's most creative figures. Tonight's event features Jim Polshek, a New York-based architect who has revived and restored many of the city's enduring venues (from Carnegie Hall's subterranean theater to Symphony Space itself). Hosted by the Cutting Edge Concert Series, Polshek's discussion is followed by performances of work by composers like Huang Ruo, Wong Gouwei, and Dalit Warshaw.
