Ingrid Fliter won the 2006 Gilmore Artist Award, becoming only the fifth pianist to receive the distinction. The New York Times called her brash style "muscular," and while she's been lauded for her precise and powerful playing, Fliter never sacrifices emotion for technique. The Argentine musician recently signed to EMI Classics, and is a New Generation Artist for BBC Radio 3. Renowned for her renditions of Chopin and Beethoven pieces, Fliter performs a nocturne and a sonata by the former, a sonata by the latter, and two impromptus by Schubert.
