Since replacing Susie Ibarra as the drummer in David S. Ware's free-jazz quartet, Guillermo E. Brown has explored the idea that performers continually repackage and re-present the aural and visual stimulation they receive. In this solo show, Brown remixes the disparate musical elements of his life, challenging and erasing the genre conventions that keep different kinds of music apart. Using the infinitely variable pulse of rhythm as the starting point of his presentation, Brown illuminates the spaces between things he's heard and seen in an integrated multimedia tour de force.
