North Carolina was 9th Wonder's stomping ground way back when he used to make beats on FruityLoops in his college dorm room, and the DJ/producer still reps hard for Nof Cackalacky among downtown club-heads. Wonder's kind of a big deal these days, having crafted hits for Jigga and Erykah Badu, as well as for his own collaborations with Little Brother. Triple Crown's Mike Pops hosts tonight's new party at Love, which also features Brooklyn's DJ MeLo-X, whose laid-back R&B and funk round out an evening of great indie hip-hop.
