Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Silje Nes makes spare, warm sound-gems that shrink any room to bedroom size. Just one or two instruments — a beat-up synth, an old Fender, a bass guitar — twinkle and buzz beneath her delicate voice, making Nes the polar opposite of fellow openers Hjaltalin, whose ten members (including a bassoon player, a tenor saxophonist, and a violinist) play grand odes to trees, summer, and other pretty things. Headliners Múm round out this lineup of syrupy-sweet Scandinavians.
