Over the last decade of Mayday bashes in Tompkins Square Park, the freaks have only gotten freakier and the parties more epic. In honor of the international celebration of warmer weather, workers' rights, and squatters, today's all-day extravaganza brings freedom-loving urbanites together for an old-fashioned throwdown. While Blackkat founder and DJ Jason BK's electro-rave beats gets things moving, techno pioneer Lenny Dee, massive 30-piece brass outfit Hungry March Band, and old-school hip-hop legend DJ Grandmaster Caz complete the vibe. Grab some free food courtesy of Food Not Bombs, and you're a bona-fide radical — or at least a raver.
