Performing Arts: Cabaret/Burlesque The Broadway Beauty Pageant

Before Daniel Radcliffe strips down on the Great White Way, a chorus line of beefcakes gives new meaning to "Broadway babes." In a benefit for the Ali Forney Center supporting LGBT youth, male stars of Broadway represent their shows in a series of traditional pageant competitions with a highly non-traditional contestant pool. Jeffery Self and Ryan J. Davis (off-Broadway's My Life on the Craigslist) write and direct, theatre heavyweights Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell judge, but only the audience awards the title and tiara.
