Performing Arts: Dance Eliot Feld's Mandance Project

Eliot Feld's Mandance Project returns for its fourth Joyce season. The first program includes solos for two lovely ladies: former Martha Graham dancer Fang-Yi Sheu personifies Isis in Transit, Feld's latest work set to the music of Steve Reich, while Ballet Tech alum Ha-Chi Yu is Pursuing Odette to the Adagietto from Mahler's Fifth Symphony. Another alum of Feld's school and much-missed company, Wu-Kang Chen, dances a solo Undergo to a hypnotic Meredith Monk score. Chen and his Taiwan-based company HORSE also perform their evening-length group piece Velocity in the second program, which marks the all-male troupe's American debut.
