Showcasing American Composers spotlights singers, such as Lauren Flanigan and Emily Pulley, in two afternoons of brand-new opera. Known as a breeding ground for contemporary opera, New York City Opera's VOX series features ten American composers' works performed by City Opera artists. Each day of this sneak peek into the future of the aria features a panel discussion, followed by five selections — including a tale starring Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth, a big-band jazz opera, and a Dylan Thomas love affair. Get tickets for both days, and you can catch all ten premieres.
