Jacksonville, Florida's five-piece Black Kids skyrocketed from unknowns to critical darlings in only a few months. Though they claim just a four-song, self-released EP to their name, their remarkable live performances at Athens Popfest, CMJ, and SXSW had the entire blogosphere creaming its collective panties. Drawing comparisons to the Cure, Arcade Fire, and the Go! Team, Black Kids storm the stage with exuberant melodies, maniacal hand claps, and R&B-flavored hooks. Tonight, they rock the Bowery with tracks off the incredible Wizard of Ahhhs alongside panic-strewn dance-rockers Boy Crisis.
