More Flavor: Festival Bicycle Film Festival 2008

During the eighth-annual Bicycle Film Festival, musicians and artists show love to their two-wheeled friends. Prior to the Studio B dance party that kicks off the fest, Simone Pace of Blonde Redhead provides a live score to Impossible Hour and Soft Circle channel the clangs and rattles of the bike to accompany the visuals of Daniel Leeb. Other films include the inspirational From Tragedy to Advocacy: Mary Beth Kelly; Pedal Pusher Society, which spotlights a female bike gang; and Angels Die in the Soil, a story of cycles during wartime. The Dear Velo art show examines the simple beauty of the frame, and freebies like the BMX program and nightly afterparties provide affordable adrenaline pumps.
