Music: Rock/Pop The Teenagers w/ Team Robespierre

With trademark Parisian pouts and Zoolander-like stage presence, these fashionable Frenchies sing catchy, often X-rated electro-pop in accented Franglais. Their sugar-coated-crass "Homecoming" single and its accompanying video (shot in a '70s-era style reminiscent of The Virgin Suicides) made quite a splash in the blogosphere last year. Now, the dirty-pop scoundrels are back, hot off February's sold-out show at the Mercury lounge, to solidify their American market presence with the stateside debut, Reality Check. Brooklyn-bred dance-punks Team Robespierre open with thrashing synths and more than a little bit of electro boogie.
