In the future, this is what disco sounds — and looks — like. Apes & Androids rock it into outer space with Ziggy Stardust face paint, glammy synths, and fringes. (And, of course, there are costumes involved.) It's not all flash, though: while the local five-piece is known for righteously flamboyant stage antics, the band also storms through its debut album, Blood Moon, with all the bombast of a group of gutter-punks — who just happen to be wearing eye shadow.
